Much of the power and impact of learning networks lies in their diversity of thought, experience and context. Professional Learning Networks for teachers are no different. Diversity is one of the elements of EdCamp that make it such a fantastic experience. Last year we had learners from K-12, Post-Secondary education, the Ministry of Education as well as representatives from edtech and publishers. If you know of someone outside of K-12 education who might be interested in contributing to the learning, encourage them to attend this year's EdCamp.
Although EdCamp transcends organizations, agendas and affiliations, it doesn't happen without a dedicated team of people to put it all together. This year EdCamp Barrie is being run through a partnership between the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic DSB and the Simcoe County DSB. Just another example of being #bettertogether!
